Thermal Imager

high-end camera

Our high-end cameras are designed for particularly demanding applications and, due to their properties, are tailored to users who require high-performance and flexibly configurable thermal imaging camera technology. Cooled photon detectors of different types, with different spectral sensitivity ranges and formats are used.

The high-end cameras in the ImageIR® series offer users outstanding performance data, including the highest thermal sensitivity, first-class geometric and temporal resolution for precise measurements, and high-speed modes to optimally image even extremely fast processes and moving objects. A modular basic concept makes it easy to configure the system individually and adapt the performance data to the task at hand. ImageIR® cameras are used in research and development, non-destructive testing, and process monitoring, for example.

In conjunction with the IRBIS® thermal imaging control and evaluation software developed by InfraTec, the cameras of the ImageIR® series set high standards as an efficient tool for complex thermal imaging examinations.

system camera for industrial and laboratory use

A wide range of interchangeable lenses and the compact housing dimensions of our system cameras as well as the robust construction with a protection rating of up to IP67 make these thermal imaging cameras useful tools for many applications in industry and research. They can be easily integrated into existing system environments thanks to the Software Development Kit (SDK). All system camera series are available in numerous equipment and performance variants and enable individual thermography solutions depending on the application focus and requirements.

We offer a variety of flexible system camera models in different performance classes and spectral sensitivity ranges. These include the cameras in the Image® series that measure in the short-wave infrared range and are ideal for high-temperature applications. The universally applicable cameras in the VarioCAM® HD head product range, on the other hand, are particularly suitable for demanding measurement and monitoring tasks.

The control and analysis program from the IRBIS® software family that we have developed is integrated into the respective service package. It enables, among other things, the collected temperature measurement data to be analyzed and evaluated.

swir thermal imager camera

The SWIR thermal imaging cameras ImageIR® 8100 and ImageIR® 9100 are radiometrically calibrated and available with (640 × 512) or (1,280 × 1,024) IR pixels in VGA or SXGA image format. They work in the short-wave infrared range and allow, among other things, emission-optimized measurements of temperatures on metallic surfaces. A pixel pitch of only 5 µm enables a comparatively cost-effective, compact optical design with high image quality due to the resulting small detector chip diagonals. In conjunction with the radiometric calibration, brilliant thermographic images with high geometric and thermal resolution can be achieved in both formats. The combination with interchangeable lenses with a wide range of focal lengths enables the image fields to be easily adapted to real measurement scenarios.

thermal imager camera VARIOCAM HDX

The thermal imaging cameras of the VarioCAM® HD head and VarioCAM® HDx head series from InfraTec are based on uncooled microbolometer FPA detectors. With up to (1,024 × 768) IR pixels, the camera series delivers brilliant and detailed 16-bit thermal imaging images with an outstanding field frequency of up to 240 Hz. Thanks to the optional opto-mechanical MicroScan unit, IR image formats with a geometric resolution of 3.1 megapixels are even achieved, which manifests itself in even greater image sharpness and image quality. This means that geometrically caused measurement errors on complexly structured objects can be reliably avoided. In combination with an excellent thermal resolution of up to 20 mK, these thermal imaging cameras are suitable for demanding stationary measurement and testing tasks in production, quality assurance and process optimization as well as research and development.

The camera series is equipped with a shock-resistant light metal housing that keeps out dust, dirt and water and, if required, meets the requirements of protection class IP67. The robust construction and compact housing dimensions allow easy installation in the harshest process environments.

The camera series supports industry-wide standards for data transfer and image processing with GigE-Vision and GenICam. This means that each model can not only be used for computer-aided laboratory applications using the efficient and convenient IRBIS® thermography software from InfraTec, but also allows rapid integration into existing system environments based on these standards.
