Applications
FTIR is widely applied in environmental monitoring, environmental chemistry, and environmental pollution analysis. It can be used for online monitoring of gas pollutants such as H₂O, NOx (NO₂, NO, N₂O), HF, SO₂, CO, HCl, NH₃, and CO₂. It can also monitor airborne particles, including their types and concentrations, as well as environmental equipment such as vacuum cleaners, desulfurization equipment, and depickling equipment.
Criminal Investigation
FTIR enables rapid detection and identification of explosive-related field evidence in potentially dangerous environments, including black powder, nitrolite, TNT, hexogen, and PETN.
Drug Enforcement
